I already have a will, can I update it to include My WiSH Charity?
Yes. You can add a codicil for any changes that you may wish to make to your will, this could also be to include a charity. Your solicitor will advise you if a codicil is the best option for you. If you have many changes it may be more appropriate to re-write your will.
Can I specify how I would like my gift to be used?

How big does my gift have to be to make a difference?
Every gift makes a difference. Although some of the gifts we receive are large ones, the majority are not but these all combine to make a huge positive impact on what the charity can provide for the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and its enhanced care for the community.
Am I obligated to leave a gift in my will to My WiSH Charity?
There is no obligation to include a gift to My WiSH Charity in your will, and your arrangements are private. If having reviewed your personal circumstances and you would like to leave a gift in your will, then we are very grateful. Your gift will help My WiSH Charity continue providing great care for generations to come.
What difference will my support make?
You will make a real difference to patients being treated and cared for at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust by helping fund specialist medical equipment for wards and departments, supporting and caring for the wellbeing of our staff and patients, improving patient services and staff training. You can even choose to support an area which is close to your heart.
Will my gift be taxed?
No. Gifts to charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax and this can be a way of reducing your estate to the exposure of taxation. For more information speak to your solicitor or visit the HM Revenue & Customs website.
