Join My WiSH Charity and raise a cup of tea to the NHS

Local NHS charity, My WiSH Charity, are asking the community to host tea parties to celebrate the NHS’ 74^th birthday this July.

Fundraising officer, Tanya Fifield, said “The 5^th of July is the birthday of our amazing NHS and we hope people will raise a cuppa to thank staff for caring for us.” She went on to say “You don’t have to necessarily host it on the 5^th July but we hope people will use it as an excuse to get together with friends, family and colleagues and to raise some money to help us enhance care and support staff at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

The Trust comprises of West Suffolk Hospital, Newmarket Community Hospital, Glastonbury Court and the community services all provide.

Tanya added “My WiSH doesn’t provide anything the NHS should provide but the extras, the ‘above and beyonds’ that help make a difficult time a little bit easier and they support staff as they work so hard caring for us all.”
