Our WiSH Upon a Star Children’s Appeal is aimed at enhancing the care young people received across the Trust, both in hospital and out in the community.
The West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust supports a general population of 280,000 people, 163,000 of which are 18 years old and under.

We are not here to provide anything the NHS provides but the extras that make life easier at a difficult time. In the past we have provided a play specialist for the emergency department, a cerebral function monitor for the neonatal unit, toys to help with physio sessions by the complex care team, books to help explain what happens in hospital, Christmas and birthday gifts should children find themselves spending special days in hospital plus many other items both big and small.
Your donations have allowed to buy toys which are not only great for play but for helping with physiotherapy, speech and language and other therapy sessions.
We support parents too…
We care for the parents too by providing comfort packs with items such as a toothbrush and paste, things easily forgotten in the rush of bringing their child into hospital.
We provide memory boxes to ensure memories are captured in those precious moments when a child or baby sadly passes away.
