Local companies support soapbox event

This September sees local NHS charity, My WiSH Charity, host its third Soapbox Challenge on Mount Road in Bury St Edmunds and the charity recently thanked it’s sponsors for helping the event be possible.

Sally Daniels, fundraising manager, said “As a charity we try to keep all costs to a minimum as we want the money raised to enhance care and support staff at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. Having local companies support us is so important and really help us put on a great day.”

Headline sponsors, Treatt, will also be there on the day as Chloe Ludkin will be one of the judges.

Sealey Tools return for a third year, not only sponsoring the finish line but racing too. Previous years have seen the tool company build a jack and a space heater to race down the 300-metre course.

Ashtons Legal have sponsored the start line and Frames Conservatories Direct are back with their giant window frame for soapboxes to jump through. John Taylor-Brennan says teams should be prepared for a few exciting extras as they jump through the window frame.

It’s not too late to enter a team for the Soapbox Challenge which will take place on Saturday 3rd September. To enter a team or find out more go to our Soapbox event page.
