My WiSH gets a new website

There’s a new, fresh-looking website that’s been set up for the My WiSH Charity thanks to the efforts of staff at Kall Kwik, in Bury St Edmunds.

It is now up and running and offers a more user-friendly way of using the site.

The new design came after the charity was picked out of between 30 and 40 entries across Suffolk submitted in a competition run by Kall Kwik.

Stewart Green, the owner and managing director of the company which is based in Eastern Way, said they had run the contest aimed at charitable organisations three times. Previous winners have been domestic abuse charity, Womens’ Aid and Henry’s Holiday Help, which helps families of a child with cancer.

He said once the entries have been received the winner is drawn out of the hat with My WiSH being the latest recipient.

“As we are based in Suffolk we like to support the local area and we will design and build a new website for them (My WiSH) from scratch,” said Mr Green.

“We have a team of web designers who do this sort of work all day long.”

“There’s a fair bit of work involved and we felt that it was something that we could do to help. We felt that doing this was a way of supporting a charity in these difficult times that we are going through,” he added.

It’s estimated the cost of the new design for the website, which was headed up by Sam Glister, is equivalent to the value of between £1,800 and £2,000.

Mr Green continued: “We want to make sure that it works well for them and it’s been interesting to find out more about My WiSH and what they do and how the work they carry out is so important. We have been delighted to be of help to the charity.”

Sue Smith, head of fundraising, said “We were delighted to receive the call from Stuart to say we had won. This new website looks amazing and certainly fulfills all our needs and then some. Sam has done a fantastic job and we can’t thank him and Kall Kwik enough. We are sure our supporters will find it much easier to find their way around which, we hope in turn, will help people support us as we continue to enhance care for West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust”.
