Paediatric staff walk to raise funds
My WiSH Charity recently saw a donation from the paediatric staff at the West Suffolk Hospital. The team, consisting of consultant paediatricians, Karine Cesar, Rachel Shute, Haritha Rao, Frances Nelson, Niki Skaltsa, Gemma Cooper-Hobson, Manoj John, Raman Lakshman and Arun Saraswatula along with retired consultant Ian Evans, speciality doctor, Jageer Mohammed and consultant clinical psychologist, Emily Baker, headed up to the Peak District in October to trek over 8 kilometres and raise funds for the children they all care for.
Frances said ““It was a beautiful sunny day and a fantastic opportunity to spend time together. We were so excited to raise money to improve the experience for children and young people on Rainbow ward and children’s outpatients.”

Over £1200 was raised with the money going to the My WiSH Charity who support the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust including all paediatric areas.
Tanya Fifield, fundraising officer, said “It was so lovely to have staff wanting to make a difference. They see what we can do and wanted to help us do more. Our WiSH Upon A Star Children’s Appeal supports children across the Trust including the Rainbow ward and outpatients department”.
